Solenopsis molesta (Thief Ants)

Solenopsis molesta is our cheapest ant, although we wouldn’t recommend them as a first ant for anyone. These ants are small, with Queens only 2-3mm and workers 0.5-1mm. They also aren’t really entertaining in their founding stages.  Although, their colonies get insanely large, and if you start with many queens they might be able to inbreed and create infinite queens (no promises). Solenopsis molesta have large nuptial flights, they fly relatively close to the group, so you are able to catch them with either your hands or a net.
